The hotel

Llar de Capitans is much more than a boutique hotel: it is a place with soul, where the maritime tradition of El Masnou meets modern hospitality, just 30 meters from the beach and 25 minutes from the center of Barcelona.

The building that today houses our hotel was built in 1865 and represents a clear example of the Catalan modernist style. In its beginnings, it was the home of two outstanding captains of the local merchant navy, Pere Pagès i Colomer and Jaume Estapé Pagès, who commanded vessels such as the Ciro, the Ocata or the Nueva Paula. Their seafaring legacy not only gives our hotel its name, but also permeates every corner of the building, which has been carefully restored to preserve its original essence.

Today, Llar de Capitans offers its guests a unique experience, combining the charm of a historic house with all the comforts of the present. We have six rooms – each inspired by the ships that made history in the port of El Masnou – and an independent apartment. Many of our rooms offer privileged sea views, reflecting the Mediterranean style and the identity of the coastal environment.

Our restaurant, decorated with the same respect for tradition as the rest of the hotel, offers a fresh Mediterranean cuisine, designed both for our guests and for the neighbors of the village. We also have a solarium terrace with sea views, direct access to the beach and proximity to the Ocata train station, which allows you to connect to Barcelona in just 25 minutes.

The environment of El Masnou, with its extensive Ocata beach, marina, relaxed atmosphere and rich gastronomic offer, completes an ideal proposal both for sun and beach getaways and for those who want to explore the city without giving up the calm and comfort of a boutique accommodation.
